Loading flights.plist on a new device

Hi,

We are working on mapping a large forestry project. Because we wont have connection at the site we are working on the flight plans now, and its getting a bit hard to do them on the phone, which is the device we will be using at the site-

We would love to use the iPad to create the flight plans and then, share to the phone for flying. Is that possible? 

We´ve been able to copy and share the .plist file, but we cannot open it on any device. How do we achieve this?
