Low Light Conditions - Northern Longitude

Hello,

We are an engineering firm and have a DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 that we use for photogrammetry surveying to generate topographic maps. We had some excellent results with your Map Pilot Pro application. Last winter and this fall I've had to utilize the low-light conditions mode to not exceed the 2x GSD threshold (or put the motion blur into RED). I find the image blur indicator occasionally jumps into the RED even during flights with low-light low mode enabled. I'm guessing sometimes it's too dark here even for the low-light mode or a sudden dark cloud swoops in. When this happens I manually slow the aircraft down with the remote control joystick and allow it to keep taking photos, sometimes as slow as 2mph. I guess my question was: does manually slowing down the speed of the drone throughout the flight affect the final product at all? Our goal is to keep it below 2x GSD (RED) at any cost. Sometimes we're flying at 2.0mph unfortunately and then allow it to resume flight at 4.5 mph ( standard speed for low-light mode). Didn't know if adjusting the speed mid-flight would have any negative effect on our final product at all. I did not think it would affect anything as long as it reduces motion blur but I noticed no one else mentioned slowing down their aircraft with the remote control manually on the forums I was reading. Thank you.

You can set a more restrictive (lower) value for the app to use when slowing the craft for lighting.  This setting was added just for us N. Lat guys!
