Survey area shape is being simplified

When I am with customers and they mark up their boundary, Map Pilot seems to miss may of the points and favour a larger more direct route between the extreme (outer?) points.

The end result is that the Mapped area is larger than the actual property and the drone flies wide of the actual boundaries; is this designed/known/expected behavior or would you expect that I should be able to plot more complex shaped boundaries which the drone will map?

Map Pilot will only lay out missions that are of a convex shape with no interior void areas. This is because there is no way to deal with the complexity of shapes that users could potentially draw. For people that need to do more complex shapes like an L or a T we recommend setting up two separate missions and making sure the overlap between the is good by using our setting to display other saved missions.
