Terrain Awareness not available for this location.

I am using an iPad mini 4 (wifi) and when I click on Terrain Aware it says data is not available for this location. I have tried various locations in Sweden, USA and Africa and get the same result.

I am living in Stockholm (59.3 N), so should still be ok. I tried turning off location on the iPad as well, but same result.

What am I doing wrong?

Glad you got it worked out. Terrain Awareness needs to have a defined flight path and a location to look data up for. When you are not connected to your aircraft and you are not on a GPS enabled device it will default to 0,0 latitude and longitude which is in the water. I guess that is a bit of a weirdness when you don't have a path planned. We will look into checking for that first before throwing the terrain data availability warning.

Ah it works! I had not selected a take off point by double tapping... so all good (maybe the error msg should say something different?)
