Phantom 4 Multispectral - Image Size

Hello,

I'm flying the Phantom 4 multispectral - it collects 1 JPG and 5 Tiff files at each camera trigger. The photos are 2MP (1600 x 1300 pixels) - is there any way to process these images on mapsmadeeasy? The camera is from what I can tell good quality for multispectral, just not as high resolution as most DJI products. Thanks

This is a big topic. We have done a lot of custom processing for various cameras over the years and basically just offer it for the custom systems we have sold. Taking pictures in different wave bands in the easy part. Stacking them and doing the appropriate processing takes a lot of work. Then there is making sure the calibration is done properly so the bands are evenly matched for reproducible data products. We have decided not to support the DJI Multispectral for various reasons but I am sure what you are looking to do is possible. Maybe ask DJI what they propose?

Ah thats fair, I did a demo with pix4dfields and it processes the multispectral imagery great, but doesn't do a good job making a DEM with the jpg (RGB) imagery. I was hoping to run those photos through MME for the DEM since I have lots of overlap and decent GSD. But I guess I will have to upgrade to Pix4D Mapper

ya but the jpgs are only 1600 x 1300 also, so won't load into any of the the MME interface. Unless there is something I'm missing?

Oooh. I didn't realize the JPGs were that small. Did you try the Classic workflow?

Yes that was my headache, neither the DJI or classic workflow accept photos of that size, but I'm pretty sure classic used to.
