Is there a way to conduct flight planning on a Windows computer using map pilot and then conduct the flight with the app on a apple tablet?
Would be great to use the bigger computer to flight plan.
Also, i am looking at doing large areas, is there a limit to map size in map pilot?
We do not currently offer any desktop software. We may be offering a online flight planner in the future.
Mapping flights are limited by the flight duration which is limited by the batteries. Maps Made Easy will process up to 5000 images.

Ok that's great. I'll box on and flight plan in the app.
I will be mapping around 6,000 hectares and currently I use drone deploy to process but am limited to 1000 images which is around 600 hectares area. Would be nice to have ability to go slightly larger when required.
I normally move between battery changes in the map and I assume your software can handle stitching together the different flights with different takeoff heights in relation to the other flights.
Have had issues with drone deploy distorting the heights over a multi battery map.
If you are moving between takeoffs you are either going to have to try to take off from as close to the same elevation as possible or adjust your altitudes manually. If you don't use a Ground Reference Image the system will use the GPS derived altitude numbers but that is generally asking for elevation issues across multiple batteries since the GPS number can change 100+ meters between GPS fixes.
We only use one ground reference image.
