I am not able to reproduce this issue.
If you are using Active Connect mode it should say 'Photo Error' if there is an issue with taking the image. This will also show up in your log file. If it is in Connectionless mode the only likely explanation is that either the SD card was filled up or that as it filled up it started taking longer to record the image and the camera couldn't keep up anymore. We always recommend starting with a formatted SD card. Also, make sure you are using the highest quality GENUINE (not knockoff) SD cards you can find. We have found that way more than half of the cards people are using do not perform anywhere near what the label says when benchmarked.
