Possibility of Patching Missing DEM data

Similar to a previous post (https://support.dronesmadeeasy.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/251218523/comments/115000292226).

Would MME be willing to patch missing terrain awareness data with an accurate DEM dataset we have?  The area is relatively small and I can provide the data in the format that is required.

Thank you.

Starting with Android version 1.4.0 and iOS version 5.5.0, Map Pilot Pro's Terrain Awareness feature will have options for ASTER, Copernicus, SRTM and any other datasets we can add as built-in Terrain Awareness Data Sources. Copernicus is 30 meter data and is essentially global at 89 to -89 degree coverage (everything but the poles). US users now have access to 10m data from 3DEP/NED.

Having multiple independent terrain data source choice makes it so you have options if one data source has missing data in your operating location.

We recommend using Copernicus for most work.

Most 'public' data sources do not allow caching or derivative data products or are not global in scale. Aster is a good example. We would love to use it but we can't so we use the NASA SRTM data. We are not interested in patching in data of different resolutions from lots of different data sources.

We have added large amounts of data, like we did for a customer and  Norwegian government. They provided us the source data in a compatible format and we were able to add it.

In general, we charge $500 per square degree added. That data must be at 30m per pixel, in 32-bit float format, GeoTiff DEM, no decimal precision and zeros filled in for NODATA areas. Basically it has to look identical to the NASA SRTM data since that is what our ingestor uses.

Thanks.  I believe ASTER GDEM is global (https://asterweb.jpl.nasa.gov/gdem.asp).  But from my experience the quality of SRTM data is better, e.g., fewer spikes, etc.

This my not be feasible due to cost but have you considered WorldDEM derived from TanDEM-X?

Since our area is very small I can't justify $500 so we have found an alternative.  Thanks for your help.
