KML files Import Issue - app crashes

I really like this app but am having difficulty using kmls. I was able to import a kml boundary polygon into Map Pilot Pro, but when I open the file manager folder, the app crashes. I initially tried with a polygon boundary and then with roughly 30 points that traced the boundary. Both versions of the boundary file crash the app. Any assistance you could provide would be appreciated.
